“T2” stands for the second transition area in a Triathlon (regardless of distance).  It is the point at which athletes must change from biking to running.  There is a moment for all competitors, young or old, professional or amateur, when they have a challenging thought of maybe this is “good enough.”

They have completed the swim, spent hours on the bike and now feel tired, sore, and potentially content with what they have accomplished so far.  Perhaps stopping now or just taking it easy on the last event, the run, is “good enough?”  Who will know?  Most people will respect just finishing. This feeling of “good enough” happens in endurance races of all shapes and sizes as well as within business environments as teams undergo change, adversity and transformation.

“Good enough” does not achieve Missions, does not grow teams, businesses or products.  “Good enough” will not survive in the future with the speed and tenacity of information, connectivity and feedback loops.  “Good enough” does not get you to the finish line or achieve tough goals.

How can your organization overcome this temptation?  How does your team push through to the finish?  You as a leader? How do you become ‘great’ and achieve tough goals?

We believe the answer is by incorporating a dynamic pursuit of Missions or goals within a strategic framework.  This is where true strategy and execution marry to achieve ambitious results.

MISSION FIRST, PEOPLE ALWAYS.

What We Do

Client Needs

Capabilities/Services

What do you want to be in the next few years?

How can we get there? What's our framework?

We have a strategy, but how do we connect everyone's day jobs to this greater objective?

STRATEGY CREATION: We don't just identify a solution for today. We identify solutions for tomorrow. Vision-setting as well as purpose creation, goal setting and Road map development are amongst our strongest capabilities. We can develop the strategic framework that drives long term business success and agility.

How do we connect our fiscal goals with our long term plans? Are we aligned without being rigid?

How do we tackle strategic projects while moving 100mph and without adding resources?

STRATEGY DEPLOYMENT: It's not enough to have an innovative plan in place, stakeholders - whether its employees, partners or shareholders - must also be engaged. To ensure your business moves aggressively and cohesively forward, we provide clients task force formation/oversight, strategic annual planning and horizontal and vertical alignment services.

We have a strategy but we need to rethink parts of it. How do we do this?

What do we need to do to beat our competitors?

Is our salesforce "geared" towards the future growth? Our product teams?

GROWTH STRATEGY SUPPORT: Reaching our target growth is not good enough, you must always be moving forward. We offer substained growth strategy support such as pillar development, route to market transformation, competitive course action planning, to keep you on top. Because, even the best the plans need to be enhanced and updated, at times.

How can we make sure that the strategy that we created is actually working?

How can we avoid chasing data?

How can we convert information to actionable intelligence?

How can we make faster and smarter decisions?

ANALYTICS TO INFORM STRATEGY: Setting a tough long term goal can sometimes be the easiest part. Creating new means to track progress against the strategy post-launch is sometimes the heavier lift. As teams orient themselves against these tough goals they will need to approach Big Data and reporting differently; we offer unique approaches to solving the decision behaviours to support.

“I’ve worked with Brandon for almost five years as both a client and a manager. Brandon’s ability to organize complex problems into solutions, through actions and seeing them through led to a number of our fast-paced growth initiative achievements.  His discipline, energy and passion were critical to building teams, leading initiatives and accomplishing missions.  He is a responsive, personable and has the utmost integrity. – and he is a pleasure to work with.”

Cindi Basenspiler, Executive Director, Charlotte Bridge Home

"Brandon is a consummate professional and learner with laser focus on improving organizational outcomes. He uses his prior leadership experience as a military officer, leader and athlete to understand and improve the causes in which he believes. His drive, energy and passion for winning is contagious and noteworthy. I had the privilege of working with Brandon as a leader of a start-up nonprofit in the midst of growing pains. Brandon facilitated our diverse leadership team and Board of Directors towards a 5-year strategy in a matter of hours. His preparation, seamless integration of feedback and ability to hold everyone accountable is a testament to his muscle memory in coaching senior leaders towards sustainable results throughout his career. His ability to quickly assess and plan strategic transformations from the “as-is” to the “should-be” using collaborative facilitation make him a natural change agent."
